School-Based Services

  • AAP offers affordable mental health, substance use, and other family wellness programs. Our goal is to offer services for families who have 1) have insurance, but no benefits coverage for wellness services, 2) to offerer community-based and school-based services. This means the client can come to us or we can provide services at your school. Please refer to the services listed below for referral.

  • AAP is available to education school-based staff with presentations on any subjects related to mental wellness. Please call our office (805) 988-1112 to schedule a presentation or booth event.

  • Our agency prides itself with our focus on cultural diversity and inclusion. Our programs are designed to meet the unique dynamics of living in our county, race, ethnicity, gender, ability, and all other cultural differences and similarities.

Mental Health Services

Substance Use Services

Parenting Groups

Our unique parenting groups are designed to cover many issues commonly found in families such as communication skills and basic parenting skills. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at school.

Co-Parenting

Our Co-Parenting focuses on healthy parenting for divorced or multiple families, including communication and problem-solving skills and much more. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at home, 3) at school, or 4) telehealth.

Bullying Groups

Bullying groups focus on empowerment, shame, self-esteem, fear, and many other challenges associated with victimization. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at home, 3) at school, or 4) telehealth.

Grief Groups

Grief groups help people of all ages with the bereavement stages and process. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at home, 3) at school, or 4) telehealth.

Family Court and Other Court Services

Family court services include DCFS, family courts such as divorce or custody requirements, drug and alcohol testing services, and other mandated courts services.

AAP is a Ventura County court-approved agency. AAP has been providing services for the Ventura County Courts for over 35 years.

DCFS

AAP is a contracted provider for DCFS. We provide all clinical services. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at home, 3) at school, or 4) telehealth.

Domestic Violence

AAP has all levels and types of domestic violence services. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at school, or 3) telehealth.

Parenting Groups

Our unique parenting groups meeting court and DCFS reqirements. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at school.

Batterer’s Intervention Program

AAP is a contracted provider for the 52-week court mandated prgogram. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) telehealth.

Trauma-focused Services

AAP offers trauma services for families, couples, individuals, and children. We can provide services in 1) our agency, 2) at home, 3) at school, or 4) telehealth.
